Details FARMINGTON FARMINGTON VILLAGE SP 11 NW 1/48 Waller family monument in the churchyard of the Church of St. Peter, attached to and on west of tower GV II Chest tomb to members of the Waller family (q.v. Farmington Lodge). Mid-C19. Limestone. Stepped plinth spanning width of tower. Inscription to Edmund Waller, died 1788, at west end within cinquefoil-headed panel with carved spandrels decorated with finely carved foliate decoration plain shields at centre. Miniature engaged buttresses either side. Engaged columns at corners. Five similar panels on each side with inscriptions to various members of the Waller family with dates of death ranging from mid-late C17 up to 1944. Capping with moulded margin, recumbent cross with cinquefoil hood on capping. Listing NGR: SP1363615263 Legacy The contents of this record have been generated from a legacy data system.
