Details A First World War memorial, unveiled in 1920. DESCRIPTION The memorial is situated in a prominent location within the churchyard of the Church of St Andrew. It is carved from Cornish granite and comprises a rough-hewn, wheel-head cross with a relief carving of the Sword of Sacrifice on the north face of the cross-head and shaft. It is set upon a rough-hewn, square-sectioned plinth which stands upon a single-stepped square base. The front face of the plinth is inscribed in leaded lettering: TO THE GLORY OF GOD/ AND IN SACRED MEMORY OF/ (NAMES)/ WHO FELL IN THE/ GREAT WAR 1914 - 1918
