Details The following building shall be added: BETCHTON TRENT AND MERSEY SJ 75 NE CANAL 1923- /6/10006 Canal Bridge at SJ 7950 5794 II Canal accommodation bridge. Early-mid C19. Brindled brick with stone coping. Single span with towpath and humped back. Elliptical arch. Slightly swept wings terminating in piers at all 4 corners. Lower voussoirs are of stone. Stone keystone and stone plaque at crown on both sides, inscribed '142'. Brick string course. Minor repairs. The Trent and Mersey Canal was built between 1766 and 1777. Alterations were carried out in early C19 and circa 1830's.
