Details SD 52 SE WHITTLE-LE-WOODS JOHNSON'S HILLOCK 3/160 Top Lock Bridge (No. 82) - GV II Canal bridge, on Leeds - Liverpool Canal, 1816. Stone. Stilted segmental- headed arch spanning the lower approach to Top Lock, (one of series of seven q.v.); buttress piers, bands, parapets with flat coping; walls are battered and curve inwards towards the centre; the bridge is structurally integral with the entrance to the lock, north coping forming one side of the footbridge over the lock.
