Details SO 95 68 STOKE PRIOR CP SUGARBROOK LANE (south side) 17/111 Sugarbrook Manor 16.11.67 GV II Farmhouse. Late C15 to early C16, extended early C17 and early C18 with some late C20 alterations. Timber-frame with painted brick infill, extended in painted brick with sandstone details. C15 range of three framed bays aligned east/west, early C17 cross-wing of two framed bays built on west end, stack inserted in west bay of C15 part with four diamond brick shafts, baffle- entry on south side; early C18 wing of brick added to west of C17 range. North (street) front: two storeys, with attic window to central gabled range; 1 + 1 + 1 windows, two 3-light casements, with a timber cross-window under segmental head to right (this part has a stone string and quoins); ground floor, 2 + 1 + 1 - 3-light casements, save that to right which is another timber cross-window; entrance on right-hand return wall of gabled range has a flat canopy of wooden Doric columns. Framing: two rectangular panels high (placed horizontally), cross-wing close-studded with straight tension braces to ground floor, two square panels high to first floor. Interior: staircase early C18 with turned balusters; roof of C15 range has trenched purlins and is smoke-blackened; cross-wing has a clasped purlin roof.
