Details SJ 68 NW APPLETON C.P. RED LANE 3/17 Redlane Bridge. II Roadbridge over Bridgewater Canal, circa 1770 by James Brindley for the Duke of Bridgewater. Brown brick with sandstone band to arch and flush copings to parapets. Approximately semicircular arch; abutments are curved in plan and battered in section; stepped parapets. The pavement and canal walls under the bridge are sandstone. A mid C20 footbridge (not included in listing) has brick abutments built against the west side of abutments to the original bridge. The northern half of the bridge is in Stockton Heath C.P. Listing NGR: SJ6098385553 Legacy The contents of this record have been generated from a legacy data system.
