Details ST BRIAVELS CHURCH STREET SO 50 SE (north side) 6/149 Monument to Elizabeth Butler in the churchyard c 3 metres south of the south west corner of the south transept to the Church of St Mary GV II* Chest tomb. Mid C17. Sandstone. Flat top to moulded edge, sunk margin panels, scribed pattern including spear heads and fronts on east side. Inscription on north side to Elizabeth Butler, 1668, wife of Matthew Butler, messenger to King Charles I and Charles II. Inscription is in all capitals and the monument is a good example of this period. Listing NGR: SO5586804636 Legacy The contents of this record have been generated from a legacy data system.
