Details SJ 99 SE MARPLE COMPSTALL ROAD Marple Bridge 2/80 29.3.66 Compstall Bridge (that part in Marple) II Road bridge over the River Etherow. Early C19. Ashlar. 2 wide segmental-arch spans, the central cutwater having rounded ends and a projecting springing band. Arches have rusticated voussoirs. Moulded band below, and coping to parapet walls which splay out at each end to be terminated in square piers. Legacy The contents of this record have been generated from a legacy data system.
