Details ASHBURTON SX7569 WESTERN ROAD 849-1/7/213 (South East side) Bridge at SX 7509 6930 II Bridge across River Ashburn; probably designed to carry what is now the A384, now diverted to S. Probably C18. Stone rubble. Consists of a single segmental arch with well-cut voussoirs. Stone rubble parapets with copings of large squared blocks. The upstream parapet curves outwards at each end; the downstream parapet curves sharply outwards at the W end only. The carriageway of the bridge, now grassed over, is only about 3m wide.
