Details SZ 57 NW 1353/6/10002 NITON AND WHITWELL HIGH STREET Whitwell War Memorial II First World War memorial. 1924. Portland stone. 3.5 metre tall Celtic cross on a 3-stage base. On the sides of the base there are inscriptions to the memory of Whitwell men killed in the First and Second World Wars. Listing NGR: SZ5207778091 This List entry has been amended to add sources for War Memorials Online and the War Memorials Register. These sources were not used in the compilation of this List entry but are added here as a guide for further reading, 7 December 2016.
