Details MATERIALS: rough-hewn Cornish granite. DESCRIPTION: the memorial consists of a cross surmounting a tapering shaft which is set upon a square plinth. This is set upon a domed base. An indented panel at the base of the shaft bears the inscription in carved black-painted letters which reads FOR KING AND/ COUNTRY/ 1914 – 1918/ (NAMES). The front face of the plinth is inscribed WELLINGTON. This List entry has been amended to add sources for War Memorials Online and the War Memorials Register. These sources were not used in the compilation of this List entry but are added here as a guide for further reading, 16 June 2017. This list entry was subject to a Minor Amendment on 14 February 2025 to amend details in the address and description
