Category C Date Added 01/06/1990 Local Authority East Lothian Planning Authority East Lothian Parish Yester NGR NT 53460 68079 Coordinates 353460, 668079 — S McGlashen, Edinburgh, circa 1919. Celtic Cross war memorial in ashlar, set on square base of 4 steps. Trapezium pedestal inscribed with names of fallen. 3 panels to shaft of cross, with garland carved in centre panel. Plait carving to arms of cross, linked by quatrefoil. — Prominently sited by Yester Parish Kirk. McGlashen designed a similar Celtic cross in North Berwick, Victoria Road, in 1890, by the remaining porch of St Andrews Church, as a memorial to Catherine Watson, who drowned in 1889.
