Details SK 42 NW PARISH OF WESTON-ON-TRENT KING'S MILLS LANE 4/257 Bridge at Weston Lock GV II Canal bridge, 1770 by engineer James Brindley, with minor repairs. Red brick and stone, partly rebuilt in blue brick. Single segmental brick arch on tapering stone jambs with plain brick spandrels above, those to west partly rebuilt. Eastern side has a small oval, cast iron plaque inscribed '8', immediately above the arch. The walls splay outwards to each end and have chamfered stone copings. Built as part of the Trent and Mersey Canal. Included for group value only. Listing NGR: SK4084527811 Legacy The contents of this record have been generated from a legacy data system.
