Throckley Hall is a privately owned 19th century manor house and gardens located about 6 miles (9 km) west of the city of Newcastle upon Tyne, within the village of Throckley. It has been privately owned throughout its history, having been originally owned by Sir William Haswell Stephenson.

The manorial estate of Throckley Hall, originally encompassed the majority of the land in the region and the village of Throckley. at Throckley Hall]]The English industrialist, philanthropist and historical Lord Mayor of Newcastle Upon Tyne, Sir William Haswell Stephenson was born in Throckley and lived in Throckley Hall With Throckley having historically been a colliery village, the Stephenson family owned several coal pits and employed the majority of the local population. Sir Stephenson was Mayor of Newcastle upon Tyne in 1875, 1884, and 1894 and Lord Mayor in 1902, 1909, 1910, and 1911.
