Details CROOK AND WILLINGTON HUNWICK NZ 13 SE 32/37 Hunwick Hall 17/4/52 Farmhouse and wall attached GV II* Manor-house, now farmhouse. Late medieval and C17 with alterations. This is the south-east range of 3 ranges round a courtyard. Coursed sandstone rubble with ashlar dressings; quoins at left; boulder plinth. Roof part Welsh slate, part felt-covered and part concrete tiles; brick chimneys; stone gable copings. 2 storeys,3 bays with pent left section of one storey and one window; wall attached to rear of this section is remnant of building. Older part at left has 4-centred arch in wall; left part of house has half- octagonal projecting bay window with cusped Tudor-arched heads and iron window bars; sides defined by buttresses with offsets; drip string; low-pitched hipped roof. Inserted door to right has flat stone lintel. 2-storey part has central partly-glazed door and renewed 4- and 3-light ground-floor windows under flat stone lintels; single window over door; another renewed 3-light window at right on first floor. C17 window at left on first floor has 4 stone-mullioned lights under cornice breaking forward at ends and with raised centre panel containing eroded carving. Double-span roof has end chimneys; copings rest on curved kneelers. Interior not inspected. Included for medieval and C17 features.
