Monument to Thomas Telford. Rock-faced white granite with 3 bronze inscription panels and medallion bust by - Francis A.R.S.A. Low platform with steps, central upright slab, latter flanked by lower and wider uprights with benches. — Thomas Telford was born on Glendinning farm in Westerkirk Parish. Erected by Institution of Civil Engineers in conjunction with Eskdale and Liddesdale Archaeological Society. Moved to present site May 1979. Change of Category B to C(S) 12.7.88.
