Monument comprising obelisk raised on corniced square base on stepped plinth. Polished red ashlar; white marble family crest on plinth with lion and unicorn supporters, medallion above and inscription panel below. — Inscribed "Erected by the voluntary subscriptions/of his tenantry and others/to perpetuate the memory of/Sir Frederick George Johnston/of Westerhall, Baronet/Born 10th January 1811/Died 7th May 1841/Universally lamented".
