Category B Group Category Details 100000020 - 16 Date Added 03/08/1971 Local Authority Dumfries And Galloway Planning Authority Dumfries And Galloway Parish Johnstone NGR NY 06850 93344 Coordinates 306850, 593344 — Possibly by Alexander Stevens. 1795, "considerably widened (to S) and improved in 1817". Castellated roadbridge. Single wide segmental arch over Kinnel Water flanked by hoodmoulded pedestrian arches. Coursed and squared red rubble with polished dressings. Square recesses below block corbels supporting crenellated parapets. Parapet walls continued along roadway on W bank, milestone at S end. — Original bridge 1782 (OSA and NSA). B group with Raehills gatepiers and screen walls.
