Details SIMONBURN HALL BANK NY 8773 19/151 Simonburn Bridge II Single-track road bridge across the Crook Burn. Mid C18 with C19 alterations. C18 ashlar and C19 snecked stone sections. Both faces identical. Tall, narrow round arch with set-back voussoirs. In C19 road level above arch was raised in order to lessen incline of south approach. As a result original parapet with chamfered coping was rebuilt above an inserted section of snecked-stone walling. Parapet has rebuilt splayed ends. Rectangular-plan pier with low pyramidal cap at north-west end of parapet. Listing NGR: NY8727473586 Legacy The contents of this record have been generated from a legacy data system.
