Details HIPSWELL SANDBECK SE 19 NE 5/31 Sandbeck West Bridge II 2 bridges, one over Sandbeck, the other over Throstle Gill. Late C18 - early C19. The 2 bridges are at right angles, linked by parapet wall. Bridge over Sandbeck: ashlar with chamfered rustication. Single semicircular arch with hoodmould. Flanking pilasters. Band. Parapet with segmental coping. Approximately 5 metres to south, bridge over Throstle Gill: roughly-dressed stone and rubble. Single semicircular arch of roughly-dressed voussoirs with herringbone tooling. Parapet with ashlar segmental coping.
