Details SHREWTON AMESBURY ROAD SU 04 SE (west side) Rollestone 3/224 Rollestone Manor II Detached house. Mid-C18, extension to south c1800, heightened 1839. Flint and limestone, Flemish bond brick with ashlar quoins, Welsh slate roof with brick stacks. 2-span roof over parallel ranges. 2-storey and basement, 5-window front. Basement has one 2-light hollow-chamfered mullioned window and one 2-light casement. Central 6-panelled door in stone Tuscan porch, either side and basement are two 16-pane sashes with keystones. Stone plat band to first floor; five 16-pane flush sashes in moulded cases with keystones. Coped verge to left gable of roof. Attached to right is 2-storey range of c1800, second floor added 1839, 3-storey, 2- window. To left of ground floor is 4-panelled door with 20-pane sash with keystone to right, first floor has plat band and two 16- pane sashes with keystones, second floor has plat band and two 16- pane sashes. Right return has segmental-arched blocked doorway to basement, to right ground floor is 4-panelled door with datestone 1839 over, first floor has C20 casement; fragment of C12 capital built into this wall, dentilled eaves. Rear of range to left has 24-pane sash to ground and first floors and 15-pane sash to second floor. Rear of main range is limestone and flint, ground floor has two 16-pane sashes and one 12-pane sash and a canted bay window with lead roof, first floor has two 16-pane and one 24-pane sash, two raking dormers to roof have casements. Left return of main range has 4-panelled door to left and single-light fixed window to ground and first floor, 4-pane sash to left of first floor. Interior has reset late C18 stairs with Tuscan newels, 4-panelled doors to ground floor in moulded architraves, doors with fielded panels to first floor,
