Details NZ 15 NW STANLEY B 6310 1/13 Pontburn Bridge GV II Bridge. Early C19. Coursed squared sandstone bridge and coursed rubble approach walls with ashlar dressings. Segmental arch recessed under drip band; road-bed- level band, sloping up from centre to east, continues around flanking square pilasters which support round end piers of parapet. Parapet has chamfered ashlar coping; similar coping on short approach walls on north side of road. Partly in the parish of Consett.
