Single span estate bridge with stepped approaches and ornamental balustrade crossing burn. Ashlar and roughly squared rubble with saddleback-coped parapet. Stepped balustraded parapet to centre with 'M 1851 S' at base. — To the south is a similar bridge (listed category 'B') over the Ale Water and dating from the late 18th century.
