Category B Date Added 11/05/1989 Local Authority South Lanarkshire Planning Authority South Lanarkshire Parish Lesmahagow NGR NS 81486 40438 Coordinates 281486, 640438 — Probably built in first half of 18th century. Bridge, single semi-circular arch over River Nethan; rubble-built, recessed arch rings with bolection-moulding all red ashlar. Low parapets with plain 19th century metal rails added. Narrow roadway. — Superseded by bridge to north nearby which may have been on line of Telford's road of the 1820's; 2 20th century bridges lie to the north again, beyond.
