Details A First World War memorial dating from 1920, altered following the Second World War. MATERIALS The memorial is constructed from granite. DESCRIPTION The memorial is approximately 3.6 metres high and takes the form of a wheel cross set on a tapering shaft. This stands atop a rough-hewn base, which has granite blocks placed around it. The shaft is inscribed: TO/ THE GLORIOUS MEMORY/ OF/ (NAMES)/ WHO/ FELL IN THE GREAT WAR/ 1914-1918/ 1939-1945/ (NAMES). This List entry has been amended to add the source for War Memorials Online. This source was not used in the compilation of this List entry but is added here as a guide for further reading, 21 February 2017.
