Details LYDNEY CHURCH ROAD SO 60 SW (east side) 7/91 Monument to MARGERYE NORTH in the churchyard c22m north-east of north-east corner of chancel of the church of St Mary - II* Chest tomb. Early C17. Sandstone. Very thick flat top with shallow cavetto mould edge, panel faces very badly worn but some parts of inscription legible, including Margerye North (?) and date 1633. Though badly eroded, this is one of the more important memorials, historically, in this especially rich churchyard.
