Details ASTLEY C.P. ASTLEY SJ 51 NW 7/6 Monument to King George - IV approx. 30 metres to south of Astley House GV II Monument to King George IV. Circa 1830. Grey sandstone ashlar. In a Gothic revival style. Square plan. Pedestal with quatrefoils to each face, and frieze and cornice, second stage with quatrefoils to each face, claw feet and crocketed Gothic arches above, and pierced top stage surmounted by a bust, presumably of the King.
