Details SK 65 NE HALAM HOLME LANE (north side) 3/85 Mill and attached house and bridge II Mill and attached house and bridge. Early C18, with C19 and C20 alterations. Mill of rubble with red brick patching. Pantile roof. One and a half storeys, 2 bays. Doorway with plank door, to the right is a single segmental arched window opening. Above, is a doorway with plank door dropping below the lintel of the ground floor doorway. To the right is a single glazing bar sash. To the right is a red brick and pantile lean-to containing the remains of a wood and iron water wheel. To the left is the house, refronted late C19, being of red brick apart from the rubble left gable wall. 2 storeys, 3 bays. Central C20 red brick and pantile gabled porch with panelled door. Either side are single glazing bar sashes with 2 similar sashes above, all with rendered wedge lintels. In front of the mill is the concrete and ashlar foot bridge with single red brick arch to the rear. Interior contains a single stone nut.
