Details 1356/0/10005 16-AUG-01 BRENCHLEY MAIDSTONE ROAD Matfield War Memorial II War memorial. Built in the early 1920s. Comprises Portland stone cross with splayed ends and moulded base with tall octagonal plinth on which the names of the fallen of Matfield are inscribed in flush lead lettering. Further names are inscribed on the three octagonal stone steps. Listing NGR: TQ6541540867 This List entry has been amended to add sources for War Memorials Online and the War Memorials Register. These sources were not used in the compilation of this List entry but are added here as a guide for further reading, 1 December 2016.
