Category B Date Added 04/11/1971 Local Authority Dumfries And Galloway Planning Authority Dumfries And Galloway Parish Tongland NGR NX 68495 54081 Coordinates 268495, 554081 — Later 18th century. Single-arch stone-built bridge spanning Tarff Water near its junction with River Dee on Twynholm/Tongland parish boundary. Segmental arch with approx 45ft span; carriageway approx 12ft wide over arch, widening at abutments. Extensive abutments act as buttresses and provide pedestrian refuges. Square granite voussoirs, rubble soffit. Rubble spandrels and abutments, parapets with sandstone coping.
