Category B Date Added 04/11/1971 Local Authority Dumfries And Galloway Planning Authority Dumfries And Galloway Parish Parton NGR NX 76036 71160 Coordinates 276036, 571160 — Earlier 19th century. 2-arch stonebuilt bridge spanning Urr Water near Knockvennie Smithy. Segmental arches, 36ft approximately span each, central bull-faced cutwaters supporting rubble buttresses. Dressed springers, polished red sandstone voussoirs, rubble soffit, parapet and abutments. Shallow splayed abutments, terminal pairs with pyramidal sandstone caps.
