Category C Date Added 25/06/1980 Local Authority West Lothian Planning Authority West Lothian Parish Torphichen NGR NS 98821 73921 Coordinates 298821, 673921 — 17th cent. Oblong. Originally (1625) smaller with stair tower at N.E. angle, and rectangular one at S.W. Extended to E. later in century. 3 storeys. Rubble; now very dilapidated, especially at gable-ends. Roofless. Vaulted 1st storey. — Ruin. Sir Robert Sibbald, physician, naturalist and antiquary; inherited lands of Kipps from his mother, Margaret Boyd, 1672.
