Built 1897. Steel bowstring roadbridge spanning Scaur Water. Cross-braced rivetted girders, flat roadway on suspended I-beams. Bridge rests on bull-faced red ashlar plinths, these with parapets splayed towards approaches. — Replaces suspension bridge erected by Drumlanrig Estate about 1820/30 (New Statistical Account).
