Details SS 92 SW OAKFORD 5/137 Iron Mill Bridge - II Road bridge across Iron Mill Stream. Probably early C19. Stone rubble. Single span road bridge with a segmental arch and a second, smaller arch on the downstream side, which appears to be a flood arch although there is no corresponding arch on the upstream side. Originally without parapets, C20 metal balustrades have been added. Iron Mill Stream was formerly known as the River Woodburn; no documentary references to iron smelting in the area have been found (Bentley). Bentley, E.W., Oakford (1982), p. 132.
