Category C Date Added 26/06/1986 Local Authority Dumfries And Galloway Planning Authority Dumfries And Galloway Parish Dumfries NGR NX 98989 78537 Coordinates 298989, 578537 — Dumfries-Lockerbie branch railway, Hugh H Maclure engineer, opened 1.9.1863. Bridge carrying farm access track over former Dumfries-Lockerbie branch railway. Single segmental arch made of cast-iron, with individual members reaching from springings to crown of arch. Abutments and parapet terminal piers all red ashlar, former bull-faced, latter channelled. Decorative ramped parapet balustrade also cast-iron. — Line closed 22.11.1965. (D. Smith, LITTLE RAILWAYS OF S.W. SCOTLAND, 1969, p.57).
