Details DAGLINGWORTH CHAPEL LANE SO 9904 18/160 Group of 4 monuments in the church- yard of the Church of the Holy Rood c4-8m south of the porch GV II Group of 4 chest tombs. Limestone. a) & b) Pair of chest tombs nearest church porch. Mid-late C17. No visible inscriptions; thick moulded cappings. c) Chest tomb, c2m south of the preceding monument, to Dorothy Webb, died 1687 and Timothy Webb, died 1721. Cartouche-like inscription plaques on the north and south sides with single cherubs' heads in the upper corners; foliate decoration to the sides of the lyre-shaped ends; bust probably representing Timothy Webb at the west end with an open book below, skull encircled by a foliate motif at the east end; thick capping with a moulded margin. d) Chest tomb immediately east of the latter matches tombs a) and b).
