Details PYRTON SU69NE 4/122 Golder Manor 18/07/63 - II Farmhouse. Mid C18; mid C19 porch and left bay extensions. Header bond grey brick with red brick dressings, on colourwashed chalk base; mid C19 left bay of similar materials, with limestone dressings to porch; mid C18 chequer brick and chalk rubble to right and rear. Hipped old tile roof; brick ridge and rear lateral stacks. Double-depth plan. 2 storeys; 4-window range. 2-storey porch has sash set in keyed stone surround over storey band and round-arched doorway with jamb shafts: 4-panelled inner door with decorative overlight. Flat brick arches over C20 ground-floor windows and 8-pane first-floor sashes. Interior: mid Cl9 interior, but roof not inspected. Mid C19 bay to left encases rear room with C17/C18 quartered stop-chamfered beams. The farm lies within a deserted medieval settlement. (V.C.H.: Oxfordshire, Vol.VIII, p.141).
