Details The following item shall be added:- SE 16 SE BEWERLEY MAIN STREET (east side) 8/176 Garden Tower to West of Abbey Lodge II Former tower to Bewerly Hall, now garden tower. Late C19. Ashlar with ashlar dressings. 2 storey with moulded parapet. Round tower, with flat wall to west where tower adjoined the Hall ( now demolished ). East front has a 2 light casement in ashlar surround with Tudor hood mould, above a false cross arrow split with a similar 2 light casement above To the north a single doorway with plank door, and to the South a single lancet with Tudor hood mould to each floor. This tower is one of the few remaining fragments of Bewerley Hall, demolished 1924. Listing NGR: SE1584364738 Legacy The contents of this record have been generated from a legacy data system.
