Details HARESFIELD HARESFIELD VILLAGE SO 81 SW 4/200 Eight Niblett Monuments, about 5m north of end of nave in churchyard of Church of St. Peter GV II Three chest tombs and five headstone in 2 lines. From north to south and west to east: limestone. Row 1: Samuel Niblett 1756; Hannah Niblett 1792; one plain square headstone of early C18 with recessed panel. Both chest tombs with flat tops, moulded plinth and capping. Samuel - lyre ends with low relief returns and ends, cartouche to north and flanking reliefs; plain fielded rectangular panel to south with flattened scroll relief. Hannah - on base, gadrooned quarter balusters, rope moulded ovals to sides with sheaves of corn to south in spandrels, recessed high relief to ends with urn to west, crown and cherubs to east. Row 2: Chest to John Niblett 1721 - flat top, moulded plinth and capping, gadrooned quarter balusters, small end cartouches and plain recessed squares to sides with flanking low relief panels. Four headstones in line to south probably of early C18, all with carved surrounds and cherubs' heads.
