Details RIPE CHURCH LANE 1. 5208 Eckington Manor TQ 5109 31/527 13.10.52 II* 2. Early C18. Two storeys and attic. Five windows. Three dormers. Red brick and grey headers alternately. Brick stringcourse. Wooden modillion eaves cornice. Steeply-pitched hipped tiled roof with 2 very tall chimney stacks. The dormers are surmounted by pediments, the outer ones triangular, the centre one curved and all containing casement windows with small square leaded panes. Sash windows on ground floor and first floors with glazing bars missing. Small porch up 3 steps with pediment over. Doorway with fanlight shaped like a real eye (not an oeil-de-boeuf) and door of 8 fielded panels. Staircase with twisted balusters.
