Details DENWICK B 1340 NU 11 SE 10/35 Denwick Bridge, 10.1.53 over River Aln I Bridge, dated 1766 perhaps by Robert Mylne. Squared stone with ashlar dressings. Gothick style. Single round arch with chamfer and moulded ring. West face has semi-octagonal projections flanking arch; in spandrels of arch cusped circles with shields bearing Percy lion (left) and 5 fusils of old Percy (right). Moulded dentil cornice with 2 corbels each bearing Percy crescent and date in Roman numerals; flanking projections have cornice on arched corbel table. Openwork parapet of interlinked crescents, with flat moulded coping of blocks linked by metal clamps. East face plainer, with stepped arch and dentil cornice, flanked by pilasters.
