This rises from a tapering, four-sided plinth which surmounts a single-step chamfered base. The whole stands on a two-stepped concrete foundation. All lettering is incised, painted gold. The inscription and names are recorded on the north face of the plinth, which reads IN GRATEFUL MEMORY/ OF THOSE MEN OF THIS PARISH/ WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES/ IN THE GREAT WAR/ 1914–1918/ (7 NAMES). The memorial is enclosed by eight wooden posts* joined by chains*. * Pursuant to s1 (5A) of the Planning (Listed Buildings and Conservation Areas) Act 1990 (‘the Act’) it is declared that these aforementioned features are not of special architectural or historic interest.
