Details This list entry was subject to a Minor Amendment on 28 November 2025 to correct a typo in the description and to reformat the text to current standards SD 9862-9962 12/63 LINTON MAIN STREET (south side, off) Clapper bridge approximately 20 metres east of Fountaine's Hospital. 10.9.54 GV II Pedestrian bridge over Linton Beck. Probably C17 or earlier, repaired mid C20. Gritstone. Two piers of rubble stone and roughly-shaped blocks support three flat stone slabs, the outer ends of which apparently rest only on the bank. Insensitively repaired with concrete; wood and iron railings. Possibly erected to allow access from Fountaines Hospital to the village of Thorpe and Burnsall beyond.
