Approach walls stepped out to N and S; circular-plan terminating piers with circular caps. Mid to late 19th century iron gatepiers and gate to N. — Compare the raised voussoirs at Old Ancrum Bridge (1782, Elliot or Stevens) and the terminal piers at Mouth Bridge (possibly Stevens, circa 1790).
