Details SE 3170 RIPON HARROGATE ROAD 5/37 (north end) Borrage Bridge II C18 or early C19, widened to westwards in late C19. East side limestone ashlar. West side rock-faced Millstone Grit. Three segmental arches. Cutwaters. Band. Parapet, splayed outwards at either end. This bridge or its predecessor is illustrated (from the west side) in Thomas Parker's "South West Prospect ... of Ripon" in Thomas Gent's "History ... of Ripon", 1733.
