Details BEECHINGSTOKE WOODBOROUGH ROAD SU 05 NE (south side) 3/8 Beechingstoke Manor 19.3.62 II House. Early C18 and late C19. Original building of diaper brick on stone footings, and ashlar limestone quoins, thatched roof. Additions of C19 in English and Flemish bond with thatch and slate roofs. First plan of 3 bays, probably with central entrance, and flanking reception rooms. High chamfered plinth and stone moulded string course at first floor level. Coved timber eaves. Gable stacks. Paired 12-paned sashes. Central bay now has 2-storey C19 projection and thatch extended forward and hipped over. Two bay C19 two-storey extension to right with single storey outbuilding on front with pitched slate roof and gable stack. Two attic dormers. Rear block parallel to C18 front block, early C19, with symmetrical elevation comprising central 6-panelled door within round headed opening, metal lattice porch, and flanking 2-storey bow windows containing triple 12-pane sashes.
