Details STOKE ROW DOGMORE END SU68SE 6/156 Bassett Manor 24/10/51 (Formerly listed as under C.P. of Ipsden) II House. C16 with C19 and C20 alterations. Red brick to ground floor; rectangular small framing with brick infill, some in herringbone pattern to first floor and cross gables to attic; old plain-tile roof; brick end stack to left and internal stack to rear right. 2 storey and attic; 2-window range. C19 ribbed door to left return. 3-light wood mullion windows to ground and first floor. 2 cross-gables to attic with double queen post roof trusses and 3-light wood mullion windows. C19 and C20 alterations to interior. C19 dog-leg staircase. Reputed to be where Charles Reade wrote "The Cloister and the Hearth".
