Dated 1865. — A prominent, well-proportioned, later-19th-century stone bridge of three elegant segmental arches, carrying the main A7 road across the River Teviot and into the heart of Hawick. This structure replaced Hawick's first bridge over the Teviot of 1741. Revised as part of the Hawick Burgh Resurvey (2008).
