Britain's best Christmas markets
Eight wooden-hut markets that run November to December.
Britain's German-inspired Christmas markets have grown over 20 years from a Manchester novelty to a national tradition. The most-visited: Birmingham (the largest outside Germany), Manchester, Edinburgh, Bath, Lincoln (Britain's oldest at over 40 years), Winchester, York, and Belfast. All run from mid-November to Christmas Eve.
