Details WORLINGHAM COLLEGE LANE TM 48 NW 5/60 Worlingham Manor - - II Former farmhouse. Late C16/early C17, in 2 or possibly 3 phases; restored and enlarged early C20. Originally timber framed, now substantially of C18 colourwashed brick; part of the facade has a first floor brick band. Pantiled roof. 2 storeys and attics. A single long range. 5 windows, 2-light and 4- light mullion and transom casements with C20 diamond-leaded glass; segmental arches. The doorway is placed just off-centre to the right: C19 6-panel door, architrave and cornice; C20 wooden porch. 4 flat-roofed dormers. One internal stack and a gable stack to the right. Parapet gables. At the rear is an external stack, partly rebuilt, with small crowstepped gable. In the rear staircase wing is a mutilated C17 mullion and transom window. Much altered interior with very little of the structure exposed. One ground floor room has an ovolo-moulded cross-beamed ceiling and cornice and a similarly- moulded doorframe.
